Kristi Zempel MSW, MBA LICSW
Kristi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from St. Scholastica in 1996, her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1997, and her Master’s in Business Administration from Capella University in 2008. Kristi is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Minnesota. Kristi has worked in a number of mental health industries, including: schools, medical hospice facilities, employee assistance programs, health insurance companies, and private practice.
Kristi enjoys working with children and teens starting at the age of 12, families, couples, adults and individuals. Kristi is specialized in working with Co-Occurring Disorders, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Kristi encourages spiritual healing in regard to addiction, abuse and trauma. Kristi is certified in EMDR and is a registered EMDR therapist with the EMDR International Association. Kristi further holds certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Short Term Problem Resolution, AIR Network, Narrative Therapy, Process Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Competency Based Therapy, and Coaching and Strength Based Therapy. Kristi believes in meeting each person where they are at in life’s journey and believes that personalized therapy can help anyone achieve their goals.
