Melissa Martini-Tischer MA, LPCC

 

Melissa specializes in treating adults, adolescents (13 +) and families who are struggling with addiction, addictive behaviors, trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, suicidal ideation, co-dependency, emotional dysregulation and SPMI.
Melissa offers cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness, person-centered therapy, EMDR and AIR Network which is shown to effectively address trauma, chronic pain, addiction and anxiety. Melissa has worked in the field of addiction as an Addiction Mental Health Specialist at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. She has worked in various outpatient therapy settings, facilitated trauma and DBT groups. She provided in-home therapy, worked in the field of domestic violence for 12 years, worked in child protection and was on an ACT team providing intensive services for individuals diagnosed with SPMI. 



Melissa has a history providing leadership by developing a co/occurring group and becoming the director/ facilitator of that group and program. She additionally has a background providing parenting assessments and intensive in-home family reunification therapy for Dakota County Child Protection over the course of the last 30 years. 


Melissa is a Certified EMDR Level 1 and 2 trauma therapist. She is currently in the process of her certification of EMDR. She is certified in DBT, AIR Network, IMR and Addiction.
